Nice Benn, as always. I'm sure you paint your bay every year as part of an Mot, service routine

Looks as sexy as always that. Would absolutely hate the job of fitting the engine into it now

Looking stunning Benn. Getting the engine in would give me a proper headache with all that fresh paint around it.

Cheers Niek, i'll be honest. i fitted the engine by my self, so it took alot longer as i had to keep moving around to check where it was sitting and so it didn't touched anything.

I've done the stripped feel, too noisey, track car would be fun tho. By then i'd have to beat/keep up with you and House....

THanks Si, Sadly i do seem too. If it has to be done again, it will need to be bare metaled. As there are alot of layers. Like rings on a tree.

Thank you, I'll be honest, it wasnt to bad, just a bit slow. Getting the rear mount on was a frigging nightmare!
Took maybe 30ish mins to get the engine it, running around each side to check everything.
Rear mount took 45mins. It just never lines up.

    Sunday was the day...

Got the car out, fed the loom in to the bay, fed the fuel lines up and taped both out the way.
Rolled the engine out of its dusty corner.

Fitted a nice new starter. As mines been sound/feeling weak.

Fitting the engine took longer than normal as i was doing it by my self.
So had to keep checking all sides to make sure nothing touched. Which it didn't.

    Get it there!

Then the worse bit. The rear mount. Took about 45mins to get the rear mount to line up. Was a bloody nightmare!
While i was struggling and stressing, it started to bloody rain!
    Bring on the RAGE!

Had to make a quick cover to try and start dry.... After having to change from being soaked thru.

    Just able did the job.
Engine in, shafts in. Front pipe on, oil lines on...
Where i left it. Ready for moire tonight.

You trying a new weight saving engine BG?! Bottom end only??

Benn, you know when it rains on you it's motivation to do it quicker or rent a unit!! Every time I'm working on the car and it pisses it down the first thing I do is come inside and look for a unit to rent!!!
