    Exclamation changing engine size on log book

    hi there i was just about to change my engine size on my loog book as it is a 1.4 8v at the moment and i am just about to put a corsa gsi 1.6 16v turbo into it how hard will it be to get insured as i have had previous problems with other cars when the engine doesn't match standard spec cheers for any info you can give me thanks ryan

    As said in the other thread, if you're 18 then you may have problems - most specialist insurers only deal with 19+

    Even then, expect a rather large premium. Whats your postcode area, NCB, will this be your main everyday car?

    DA16 is F-rated! Thats almost the worst you can get.... soooo expect it to be expensive!

    How much do you pay to insure the car at the moment?

    well ive been quoted on my own ?900 which aint bad really is it? i know the 1.6 turbo will be ?2000 ish

    how hard do u think it will be for me wen i have changed my 1.2 engine for 1.4 in my nova and wer is the best place to go or shall i keep it on log book as 1.2

    will i struggle to get insurance on my nova if i tell them ive changed my 1.2 engine for 1.4? or is it best to tell them its still a 1.2
