    Nova engines

    Code - Capacity - Year - Output
    10S - 993cc (1.0) - 1983-1993 (X-L reg) - 45bhp@5400; 50ftlb@2600
    12ST - 1196cc (1.2) - 1983-1992 (X-K reg) - 55bhp@5600; 66ftlb@2200
    12NV - 1196cc (1.2) - 1990-1992 (H-K reg) - 55bhp@5600; 66ftlb@2200
    C12NZ - 1195cc (1.2spi) - 1991-1993 (J-L reg) - 45bhp@5000; 65ftlb@2400
    13SB - 1297cc (1.3) - 1985-1989 (A-G reg) - 70bhp@5800; 75ftlb@3800
    14NV - 1389cc (1.4) - 1989-1993 (G-L reg) - 72bhp@5600; 79ftlb@3600
    C14NZ - 1389cc (1.4spi) - 1991-1993 (J-L reg) 60bhp@5600; 76ftlb@2600
    C14SE - 1389cc (1.4mpi) - 1991-1993 (J-L reg) - 82bhp@5800; 86ftlb@3400
    15D - 1488cc (1.5d) - 1990-1993 (H-L reg) - 50bhp@4800; 68ftlb@2400
    15DT - 1488cc (1.5td) - 1990-1993 (H-L reg) - 66bhp@4600; 97ftlb@2600
    E16SE - 1598cc (1.6) - 1988-1993 (F-K reg) - 100bhp@5600; 100ftlb@3400
    C16SE - 1598cc (1.6) - 1991-1993 (J-L reg) - 100bhp@5600; 100ftlb@3400

Note 12NV figures aren't accurate as I'm sure the power is a little down whilst torque is higher over the 12ST

Why not check your engine code on your block that will tell you what it is

I'd be interested to know where their figures for the 1.2's power and all engine's CC's came from. As all the info I've seen relates to the data I put up

f, fails boat on the ebay thing!

the 1.2i is 42-45bhp (same output as the 1.0)

There is the 12ST and NV, the NV was reported to have a few lbs more torque but a couple less bhp, and the ST was the other way round.... now given it was a low output engine anyway, it matters not the actual numbers .

Sorry i didnt realise you replied, if you look at the picture below (of my dirty old 1.2 with the head removed so its easier to show you) its that flat edge on there, will no doubt need abit of a thorough clean to be able to see the code but it should be stamped on there, hope this helps
