    Old section cut out, new piece fabricated and welded:



    Rather than looking for a new door, I'm saving this one. Rust cut out of pillar and new piece welded in a smoothed:

    Great progress! Glad you're cracking on with the important things first (welding) and not messing about with rubbish while it rots away. Rear arches look solid too which is a bonus.

    Oh yea some may have noticed my query in the Mecanical section about starting problems, went out with the jump leads this evening and the car started straight away.

    Lol I'm quite tempted to try that backfire thing mentioned in the anti-lag thread, because my car only has one small silencer and no cat. But don't want to ruin anything, I'm only 16 so don't laugh
