I’m really torn between something 80s boxy, like e30 m3 style, or staying true to the loon and staying round. I’ve got about 90-100mm to fill in the back, less up front.

Either those wheels are huge, or I've forgotten how small a Nova is!

They are 17s in Nissan S14 size diameter! 235 rear and 215 front I think is what's on there. I have the option to go a little smaller diameter and could always drop down an inch front and rear (currently 8" & 9"). I would like to ideally run staggered wheel diameter too with 17s rear and 16s front, but that will depend on if I decide to run drop knuckles to help keep the geo in check as they won't work with 16s. We shall see...

But yes, a Nova is still small

Sounds like you've got it pretty much worked out.

I'm at the point of thinking about what wheels to go for, want to go 17" and something different, but Nova friendly wheels are basically 'Unobtainium'.

So mocked the front end back on as best I could and test fitted the bonnet. It just catches on one of the turret/top mount nuts, but with some trimming away of the under structure we should be all good! Was nice to have the face on the car again

Then I set about looking into the front wheel positioning...

The rears line up with middle of the arch but the fronts are set back due to me deciding I wanted the engine further back. Like so...

So I trimmed out the wing for clearancing and set about a test fit...

Now. I’m obviously going to be flaring out the arches, probably keeping the saloon round look, just bigger. If I keep the bumper as stock and start the arch flair just above it, i just have enough tyre clearance to the bumper on lock. Rear would need trimming back more but I plan to run that open anyway, time attack car style. If I wider the sides of the bumper then I can move the wheel forward. Which brings me on to that...

Above is all stock arms but with turrets moved in to about -3-4deg camber as stock. Stock there should be c7deg castor and I’m told I don’t want to be running anymore than 7.5deg really for a grip set up.

Until I get the coilovers, arms etc I’m not really going to know what’s possible in terms of moving the wheel forward and keeping good geo. Guess what I’ll have to buy soon then!
