Need some input please gents!
New corbeau seat arrived today (LE Pro) and I’m really pleased with it. It’s designed specifically for the lotus elise so its narrow but at the same time accommodating, basically lower sides.
Now on to positioning. How close is too close to the roll cage? I think I’ve got it about where it needs to be for comfortable pedals and gear stick.

Great stuff mate, starting to take shape
So to update this as it?s been a while. Not a huge amount to say as mostly gathering parts such as a willwood peddle box and some used but ok tein coilovers (temporary until I get what I really want).
I?ve modified a lotus elise subframe that fits my seat to straighten it up and made mounts & tunnel accordingly...
Headroom is good, a little tight in a helmet but I am directly under the roll bar...
And as today was nice I fitted up the coilovers and rolled it out the garage. A happy day
Still a long way to go but seeing it as a rolling chassis again does give me motivation.
Looks badass. Always fine they look cooler in this mid build phase than finished.
I know exactly what you mean!
Been struggling to figure out the steering column last few days. Pretty sure I will make a new shaft and weld on a lifeline boss. I will then obviously need bearing carriers, UJ's, bulkhead fittings and appropriate connection rack end. I've tried 10x + to count the number of splines on the end of the Nissan UJ to rack and lose count every time!

Looking awesome now mate.
Is this just going to be a track car or be road legal?
