    Gotcha.

I think for me, the ever increasing supply of youtube videos on various builds has inspired.

Second that, lot of knowledge out there now especially on the fabricating side of things and generally made me more of a perfectionist than I used to be haha

Like others, I'm glad to see this is moving forward. Look forward to more updates. Do you have a link to the Fiesta build anywhere? Cheers!

This is epic. Me and a mate have discussed and without it sounding wrong, I've fantasised many times how i would love to build a space framed car. For me ideally a nova. I'd no idea one was in the making. I've not had a look around this forum in years.

Just as a caveat, I have no idea if I’m doing it right! Lol I’m just sticking to the principle of triangulate and getting a professional welder to do most of the finished welding. I have no idea how this would be in a crash?? Can you be to stiff? Needs an engineers oversight/opinion really to be honest. I highly doubt this car ever sees the road!

Looks great either way. A crash would be sore. No crumble zone points. Surely if built to a good standard "road legal compliant" you could go down the kit car route and have it registered and tested.

Where are the crumple zones on a normal nova? Once you hit the chassis legs its all solid?!? Thinking about kit cars, they’re normally just all box section?? Should I be using some thinner walled tube/box on front & rear so it twists/bends easier?? i dunno!

Don't be so negative!! Haha build it to work!! A crash should be the last thing on your mind!! Haha

Although, as I was cruising to the barrier at Cadwell I did think "hmmmmm maybe I did need that collapsible column, instead of the body stabbing bit of bar that we used"
