2018, few upgrades planned prior to MOT in April.

    New mongoose exhaust
    Fit new bonnet release cable
    Oil and filter change
Fit toe shims on rear as after lowering it runs toe out which makes it nervous in fast corners.
Hopefully the shims will take it back to toe in. ( will get alignment check at mot.
New gearbox, either helical fixit full gearset or Pete Dougherty
box with straight cut 2nd and 3rd (the 2 weak gears) as this also leaves 5th gear nice and quiet for the motorway.
When new box in turn boost up to 30-32psi peak (currently peaks 26psi

Car passed mot no probs again

Rear toe is better with the shims in place
Also added for federal 595 RSR Tyres as the good years were from 2006!

Car goes away tomorrow to have all the new parts fitted

Put abit more toe in on the front and shims were already installed but year prior the rear was reading toe out.

Handling is still nervous on turn in, the konis are on softest setting and tester said it was quite bouncy as he reversed it over the brake rollers on the rear.

Going to firm it up although sure on these shocks it only adjusts rebound so can’t see it making much difference

Maybe higher pound springs, then you can stiffen the shocks up to suit?
All I wanted was a Pepsi, just one Pepsi
    Far from suicidal
    Still I get them tendencies
    Bringing back them memories
That I really miss when I reminisce

I don’t want higher poundage Benn as really don’t want a crashy ride.
I think these shocks are only adjustable for rebound so will have a play and see what happens.

Any luck with your car and the oil?

A nice AP kit came up for sale with some CP5555 6 pot calipers on 355mm rotors so just cleaning them up.
Plan to fit them next week before the silverstone classics show

Also went to a local RSOC meet last week

Thought it was its a nice place to be when the weathers like this! They have proper organised meets down there every Thursday evening. None of this boy racer krooze shite either.

The Mustang owners club meet is always worth a gander.

May have to try and get down again as this was a one off for the year for Rsoc but didn’t realise they had other meets.
I got there late, shame as I really wanted to get some food!
