    Default Nova SX Restoration

Im away to start restoring my Nova SX back to the way it looked only a year ago!

I owned the car first time round last summer and ended up stupidly selling it on and replacing it with an Astra GTE. It was sold to my friend who had just passed his test, after only 2 months he had crashed it, burst two tyres, broken the seats and it had started to go pink!

This is the car when i first got it...

After the car changing hands various times i tracked it down and bought it back again..although it was in a very bad way and included a Kenwood sunstrip

I yet again got rid of the car in a deal for a Corsa GSi and yet again the car changed its look (not in a good way at all IMO) and this is the way it sits now, with mk1 wings, headlights and grill along with quite a bit of rust...

So im buying it back yet again and my plans are simple at the moment...return it to look the way it does in the first pictures but with Nova GSi interior and different wheels.

The car needs welding to the chassis leg, battery tray and inner wing, im also going to replace the whole front panel of the car including the slam panel because its rotten. The rear arches will get rubbed down and hopefully that will make them look better, if not then arch repair panels will be needed along with a new passenger door.

I have a few plans in my head for a change of engine as its only a 1.2 at the moment but im wanting to concentrate on sorting the bodywork out and getting it on the road before i do anything like upgrading the engine.

Here are some pics of the bad bits in the engine bay

    Chassis leg

    Strut top area

    Slam panel

There are other areas that need attention, the rear arches (mainly drivers side), inside the drivers side arch, battery tray and passenger door could really do with getting replaced

I hope you can get it back to what it used to look like because that looked stunning. Top work!

Top 7 are from Bebo, dunno if that has anything to do with it...

Wasnt me who originally did all the work to have it looking good but i did look after it very well, cleaning it everyday etc its amazing how quickly a car can go from mint to a complete state.

    But i've seen worse!

only things as i say that are changing is the interior as the drivers seat is badly broken and the wheels, but at the moment im unsure which ones to go for
