    Default My 1.2 > 20SEH > Rebuild

Thought i'd do a small page on my daily driver, nothing special really.

Bought a few months back with 29,000 on it.

Surprisingly the std brakes work pretty well so they're staying for now, although one caliper is sticking like a bastid.

Not much planned for it as theres not alot of point due to its lack of use.

Fitted gsi seats which I think compliment the brown interior alot better than the crappy grey you normally see them with.

Ok the bodywork is kinda dented but all the usual rot hotspots are clean as you like, just a shame the colour is so awful!

Lowered it 60mm on g-max kit and it rides much better now.

Aside from the bodywork it really does drive like new.

Comments.. just not about the colour please!

looks like a good wee project i think

the old naff .rarer colours are becoming increasingly popular.....so i'd keep it myself

just keep the modifications 2 a minimum..and it could look real nice

Cheers chaps, engine bay was a real state when I got it, but underneath all the oil and crap its like new! The wheels are pretty scuffed but yeah, they do suit the novas.

The older colours definetaly are rare, seen a couple of low mileage ones in army green up for sale recently, but I dont really need more than two cars,

No real plans for it, probably fit my spare set of 16v brakes at some point, but as its only really used for going to work theres not alot of point!

Update time - well I decided as this shell was so solid that i'd treat it to an upgrade:

Nice donor vehicle sri 130, just over 100,000 on it.

After speaking to Lee, he agreed to do the conversion over the weekend, once I had all the parts we went to pick up the cav and headed back to his place to get started.

Minor issue on the motorway of lee's trailer wheel nearly breaking off , was all sorted thankfully with some home made spacers.

    Engine out:

Wish I had some better pics whilst the engine was out but my digi cam is totally fukked.

    Anyway, new engine in place:

Hopefully update tomorrow with some more pics, going up hertfordshire to pick up a gsi tank, as im having fuel surge issues, then hopefully getting a 4-1 manny for it as well.

All in all im pretty chuffed with it, im currently borrowing lee's custom 16v exhaust till I can afford to either get one made up or buy it off him, but the engine seems really good, loads of torque, but should perform better once the new tank gets fitted, and then take it for a tune up.

Also, I dont need two cars so if anyone wants to buy my 1600, check my sig VVVVVV for more info.

    Thanks for looking.

Also going to keep with the 'sleeper' look, im even tempted to boot a couple more dents in it, just for effect!
