    brake fluid came yesteday, brilliant service, price and delivery from K300 Performance.co.uk


    received throttle cable, and inlet hose (altho it was wrong and i've used my original)


    hate fitting bonnet pins - usually very guess work ish, and tatty/ messy, worked out ok tho




    lose a little of the sleeper look - but ho hum


    new 195 45 15 toyot proxes s's shoes for my wheel thats i've not bought yet (anyone got any std cav gsi rims or cesaro alloys?)


    rear 1/4 poly carbs in


    exhaust/ manifold didn't fit correctly, so had to cut & weld it, wasn't too much of a job - just cut a cheese wedge shape out of the exhaust, and bent it back on itself on the flip side to straighten it out a little

    now she's finished, here's the spec-sheet

    Engine:
    20XE, Late 2.0 16v DOHC engine with dispack, NGK Super-4 plugs, lightened, skimmed & balanced flywheel (5.1kgs), XE Blue Injectors, K&N Induction Kit, TAS competition solid engine mounts, breather mod carried out. Wizards of Nitrous kit with 50bhp jets and alloy 11lb bottle. Sierra Cosworth uprated fuel pump.

    Manfiold & Exhaust
    Modified standard 4-2-1 Astra GTE manifold, with Ashley Group-A Competition 2” bore pipework mandrel bent exhaust system with a middle silencer and 2?” straight cut powdercoated black tailpipe

    Chassis
    1988 Vauxhall Nova Merit 1.2, 3door, hatchback with 31k miles, Stitch welded engine bay, boxed out alternator modification, with 12x chassis strengthening plates welded in throughout the complete shell.

    Engine Bay
    Stitch welded & chassis strengthening plates added, sprayed in RAL7061 Anthracite, Rocker cover, cambelt cover both Satin Black, Spark Plug cover silver with black lettering. Everything else removed, cleaned & repainted.

    Transmission:
    F20CR (Close Ratio) gearbox with Quaife ATB limited slip differential with Vauxhall Manual Transmission fluid, Shortened gear lever. Painted black with silver inspection plate and clutch arm

    Suspension:
    Spax RSX432 race coilovers allround (TuV), height & damper adjustable, lowered to -70mm allround, PolySport bushes allround on rear beam, wishbones and tiebars, GTE rear antiroll bar. Sparco alloy upper front strut brace.

    Brakes:
    256mm x 24mm vented disks at front, reconditioned Astra GTE ATE calipers with new seals, finished in gloss black, standard drums at rear painted gloss black with Goodridge braided brake hoses allround. Nova GTE brake servo. ATE Super Blue racing brake fluid.

    Bodywork:
    Standard MK1 bumpers and rubstrips, smoked oval side repeaters, 3mm clear polycarbonate windows.

    Interior:
    Stripped out completely, Safety Devices 6 point rollcage (FIA), Magnum Motorsport black Bucket Seats (FIA) with Red 3" 6pt Sparco Pro2000 lightweight harnesseses (FIA). Quaife Nylon teardrop gearknob, Nova GTE 6 dial clocks, Can of Tyre-Weld, Mini fire extinguisher, Sparco suede deep dish 3 spoke steering wheel with shortened boss.

    Wheels & Tyres:
    Road use: 6J, ET49, 15" Tigra alloys with 195/45/15 Toyo Proxie T1R's all round.
    Track use: 6J, ET49, 15” Cav GSi alloys with 195/45/15 Toyo Proxie T1S's allround

    In Car Entertainment:
    The drive.

    Awesome build mate! makes me want to build another one.

    One question though.. why remove the oil cooler? especially as its a track toy and you plan to run nitrous?
