    Default Brakes

    Ok,

Now that I've sorted out the r*st on my car, what sizes of brakes can I go for on 15" wheels?

I'm interested if they are massive but dont do the job properly (dont warm up or whatever) - I'd just like the best instant stopping power per ?

e.g., is this kit http://www.tuning.co.uk/nova/nova_fa...ova_brakes.htm (at the bottom) any good?

What size are the MK3 Cav GSI disc+calipers, are they better per ??

the kit on tuning.co.uk is what cavs have, just standard 256 discs and calipers which are good enough. have you changed your servo for a gte/gsi one? (unless thats what you already have) its well worth doing.
if 256 isn't big enough for you i think vectras are bigger but not sure and don't know if they would fit.

    True, True...

    Ok,

Ive taken all that onboard, and I imagine I will go hunting for an oversize brake servo.

My next question is, what is the benefit of changing the master cylinder for one of these := http://www.hh-ms.com/shop/Nova_Group_A_Brakes.htm (featured half way down the page), and what do they do?

Different bore sizes (ie .625, .7 etc) mean that for each pedal press, more (or less) brake fluid is squeezed down the brakepipes.. sharper feel with less movement but can get binding on etc and all sorts of other problems..

Also, youre master cylinders should have 2 (one for each wheel) outlets and those dont as theyre for a bias pedal box.. (where you have 2 cylinders - one for front, one for back) and a different setup that allows on the fly front to rear adjustment..
