I've always wondered why people stick 1.2 or lower cc badges on their cars when running bigger engines
What do you hope to prove by doing this?
I'm not having a go, I just don't get it

because when you are on the lights and you get your chaves in there saxos and thay think all you have got is a set of rims and a back box on a 1.2 nova then you pull its quite funny to watch there faces
well thats why i did it
But if they pull up next to you again, or ask what you've got in it, and you say "it's a [insert bigger engine size here]" surely any embarrasement they will have suffered will quickly go once they realise they've been quite rightly beaten?
Also, those of you that went to PV probably saw more 2.0 Novas than 1.2/1.4/1.6 8v Novas, and with the internet being accesible to the whole world, do you not think it's common knowledge to other non-vaux owners that you're probably not running a 1.2.
I'm obviously old and thinking too much about it, .
if youve got a small engine and have uber power form it then yeah badge up as that engine... eg CP's with his 1.4 badge still there etc. but if youve got a 2.0 in there just remove all badges
When i put the turbo lump in my nova sr im going to be keeping the grey mk1 vynal that says 1.3 sr on the back, mainly cos the graphic is cool.
Yeah, the vinyl on the SR, GTE and GSi is cool... I don't think it should be removed just because you are putting a bigger engine in. The tacky little 1.2 plastic badges should always be removed IMO... Just because they look so ****!
