Thankyou all for your kind comments

Going to pickup my new engine loom tonight, so not long now and the car will be running.

Draper - The two poster ramp does make life so much easier, but it does make the garage feel alot smaller than it used to.

I got a straight cut syncro box with a 4.2 final drive and 0.958 for 5th gear. Im hoping that I will be at 130mph before hitting the limiter in 5th. Which would be perfect for the current engine.

    All good stuff.

Any chance you could help me with my brake lines & shizzle I need to get from Rally design. Almost the same setup as you.

Like the Cav shifter. Did you put it ontop of where the existing shifter was, or move it back for a perfect position?

    Hi Dar

Your going to love that straight cut box mate. Ear plugs in for you from now on.
Really liking that rose jointed gear linkage. You tried it out yet?
If it works how do you fancy making another one??

    Cheers

    Martin

CG - not a problem. Its simple to do. I listed all the bits you need in a thread a little while ago. Any help you want, just PM me. Im only short so the origonal position of the gear stick is in the perfect place for me. Chris tryed gettin in it yesterday to try out the gear linkage and couldn't actually fit in at all

Hi Martin, I can't wait to try out the box. I've wanted one for a long time. The noise is addictive. As for the gear linkage, its in and seems to be very nice although I can't really tell 100% until I drive with it. The one pictured is the first one I made. However I have made another one with bigger rose-joints and thats the one thats in the car.

If you have a pillar drill and can tap new threads then they are easy to make up. The real problem is getting good quality rose-joints cheap. The linkage pictured uses M6 female & M8 male rose-joints. The beefier version uses M8 & M10. If it works how I expect then I 'may' make a few up for people. I would need the origonal linkage to start since I don't have spares. My main concern is that they are adjustable and I don't want to make them for people who don't have a good idea on how to fit them and adjust them if its not perfectly set (I know this wouldn't be a problem for you).
