Do they need to have any sort of tensile strength?!? A standard split pin is soft as marshmallow, so I'm guessing not
I made them out of some old safety pins I bought. Will look for a link.

I was putting split pins back in when I remembered seeing something like this on a single seater. I knew I had some, I bought them as keyrings years ago!
However I can't find where I got them from. I know it was from a site that also sold circlips (I was buying circlips at the time). It's bugging me now so will look again tomorrow.
