I love neopixels and the simplicity of the arduino, although it's a bit Lardy if you want some lightweight system.

then again, if you wanna go full fat use the esp8266 wifi unit

I setup the MEGA as a programmer. So I can free up the dev boards once a project is finished. I really love the arduino stuff, been buying bits and bobs just for fun. I have some little wireless modules that I haven't used yet. Need to find a project for those.

I've got so many sensor breakouts etc from China currently have a wifi unit reporting temperature to a sever for no real reason

I've been doing much the same. Just building things for no good reason. It is fun though

Not had a speedo in the car for years. Been building the actual dash today. Moving everything in to the middle so that I have space to take the cage forward to the front turrets. Will put up some pics.

Lol. Just shows how much time I don't have to play with the car and come on here. Mind you since March I've started it, found the alternator was rubbing. Had to take the tb's off make more clearance for the alternator. Then put it all back together whilst rerouting the engine loom slightly.
