    I'm ashamed to say that this is the first time I've looked at this Project thread - my apologies.

    It really is a most impressive build.

    Thanks To Burgo who pointed me in the direction of this thread...........I was looking at it mainly to see the details of the fabricated rear beam.

    I will try and contact you to discuss it further if that's OK?

    Or perhaps you could drop me an e-mail at;

    colinesmith@aol.com

    I am looking into a new rear beam for my 1.0 turbocharged hillclimb/sprint Nova (also on Projects).
    To contact me please use E-MAIL to colinesmith@aol.com.

    thousands of Nova (plus other Vauxhall and motorsport parts) available.

    wasnt it something oil related? iirc it was smoking due to burning it all off. Not a major prob, but it caused misfiring & black smoke.

    Hi Chaps,

    Sorry for not getting back to you Colin, not been on here much. What do you want to know (if its not too late!)

    The car runs like a dream tehse days. Loves to shred tyres..

    Just for an update, I ran the car at the pod at the retro show in July, did a 14.15 @109mph. Still soooo much wheel spin all the way up, but i've just fitted some Avon super softs on the front and hope to get up there before the end of the year to see some decent times. These new tyres should make a big difference as the rolling diameter is now 3"+ bigger and they may actually stick to the floor.

    Been cracking on with my mk2 cortina recently, painting my Landy 110 and building/moving woprkshops, so lots on..
