    Question fan fuse keeps blowing

    can anyone help me, whenever i turn on my internal fans the fuse blows.... any ideas?

    It probably siezed. Take the plastic cover of the fan and see if the fan will spin.

    k il try it, but it worked fine b4 it went into the garage 4 an engine rebuild

    the fan switch can short out, or the fan speed resistor.

    where will i find the 'fan speed resistor'?

    I don't know, but I did one on a mk3 astra & it was inside the fan unit next to the motor

    fan resistor is on the fan motor, look for a cylindrical shaped piece of ceramic

    Mine keep blowing. I used some WD40 soaked the hole fan. worked for a few days. went off. The fuse had blown again and melted to my fuse box. now i cant put a new fuse in plus i need a new fan that works. Buy a fan off ebay or try and repair the one you have. dont just keep changing the fuse as what i did (Dumb Ass) because im lazy and cold. I wonder if its easy to change the fuse box. aint had a look!
