    Talking hazard switch mod.

    does anyone know how you can stop the hazard switch turning the ignition on when you turn the switch upside down? i heard you can do this but i cant remember how. any help would be appriciated.

    you solder a one way resitor in to one off the black wires there is guide on novaland i think

    i was just about to ask the same question all ways known about it but never realy asked how come it dose this is it just a manufacture fault ?

    yea was a manufacture fault but not every mk2 nova has the problem as my mate tried it in mine and ****ed me hazard switch as mine didnt work when turned up side down

    it didnt work on my mates car either it jus set the dash on fire!!!!

    Get a diode of the "bloody big type" form Mapplins. I think I put something like a 600 amp on in just to be sure that it wouldn't overheat and catch fire.

    to be fair if someone is intent on knicking your nova then they will have a hazard switch they take with them, its not like they are hard to get hold of....

    Get a decent alarm that cuts fuel pump, power to ignition and starter motor...
