yes they are the same, the difference is in where the selector is. Has a notch that wont allow 5th gear.

Most dont even have the notch, mine didn';t.

the linkage is the same, the stick assembly is different. the 5 speed has an extra detent spring

Mine was a 4 speed i changed it to 5 speed no problem

im doing the reverse, 5 down to 4

my mate did it to a corsa and it went well.
