    Default Just DNA project

Bought this 1.3SR off Andy racer a while back and the mission is to turn it into a track / fast road car.

The car started life as this

As you can see the arches are beyond repair so the 2 replacement ones will be fitted once the car is off the tilter.

Firstly stripped out any excess wires and smoothed the wiper hole on boot and the door locks. Rough job as my mate at the body shop will smooth it off.

Then stripped the wings bonnet engine etc and placed on the car tilter to be stripped back and seam welded. More pics to follow.

Will try and keep this upto date.

The under side should be finished by the end of the year ready for painting. Then the cage and interior and then the engine

Picking some corsa sxi rims on sat a well as the chris ashley strengthening kit up.

The only difference in the looks will be a colour change and some side skirts but everythiing else will remain stock.

    No problem will do mate.

Not going to be done for a while as money is running out. wasnt expecting to get the engine so quickly, but alot of the work in the near future is already paid for in terms of materials. Looks like it will be a long winter for me

Engine gearbox and side skirts were all collected on sun.

Hoping to have the underside all welded and back on its wheels by the new year.

Then i can spend a weekend refurbing the rear axle and move onto the replacement rear arches.

having said that i need to rebuild a landrover as well for the second weekend in jan .
