    Talking re shell my xe

    Right!!, ive just managed to get a solid shell to re-build my nova how i want it!!
    and now ive got the beemer i can spend time doing it properly!! its gonna be a fun car now so fully stripped
    out etc!!

    • Full white paint, inc boot trim, bumpers(gsi) and skirts
    • Full cage with gussets etc powder coated Ford signal orange
    • Cav caseros (spokes in Ford signal orange) rim polished
    • 40mm drop front 60mm rear on apex springs and bilstein shocks(courtney 2.o ones)
    • off side indicator turned into a cold air feed
    • vented bonnet, or fibre glass one if funds allow
    • v6 brakes with grooved discs
    • Cobra monaco 2 buckets with 4point harnesses
    • fully stripped interior, no brackets, etc etc
    • front and rear braces and harness bar (ppc in Ford signal orange)
    • perspex windows
    • de-locked and de handles doors
    • cav shifter and cav clocks
    • gauges in heater control holes
    • fully seam welded bay and inside of car
    • hydraulic handbrake
    • dealersport mudflaps
    not decided on spec of engine yet, currently
    • 2.0xe
    • re-map
    • oil catch tank
    • big filter
    • fse valve
    • lightened flywheel
    • re built f20 box
    • 171.6BHP
    possibly(if and when money allows)
    • Carbs
    • head work
    • lightened and balanced bottom end
    • custom profile cams
    • big manifold
    • powdercoated cam belt and rocker cover (white, plug cover in Ford signal orange)
    • nos
    Any comments and/or advice would be appreciated!! will post pics of new shell/progress soon.
    If i think of any thing ive missed ill add it wen i remember or if plans change at all. stuart.
    oh yeah and ive just brought the plate H15 NVA to spell
    "His Nova"

    got some sound plans there mate, plenty to do, i'll look forward to the progress pics :D

    What are your plans with the SRI shell then mate?

    prob sell it on as its got a harry hockly kit on it and a seam welded bay, its a sound shell except doors. rear arches jus starting to show rust

    sounds cool,
    alot of work there tho..and lots of cash will be needed...

    Why not put the mint doors etc on the SRi.
    SRi's have stronger shells than 1.2s etc.

    Future plans sound good, should be nice

    Sounds gd if you need a fuel cap for your perspex window with atl fuel lines im your man

    SRis, GTEs and GSi have sliightly thicker metal used and certain areas ( like strut tops) reinforced.

    Anyone Got A List Of Where Is Stronger? Im Seam Welding Everywhere And Also Using Stengthenig Plates Etc So Should Be Fairly Solid!

    heres what she looks like now, cant realy see the rust as vinyl hides it quite well, its not that bad im just fussy and would rather build shell from floor up in my garage.
