    Default 30 miles in a 1lt nova...

    ...is bloody hard work!!
Just gone to work in my nova for the first time and:
    • It took bloody ages
    • Its noisy
    • Used loads of fuel due to me having to keep the accelerator all the way down to keep a reasonable speed!
    • The carb keeps icing
    New engine time I think!!!

like I say with cars under a 1.4 there is either accelerator on or off . I mean the only way to drive them basically is either fully down (when moving) or up (stationary) . The acceleration is basically non existant in 5th took me about 3 mins to get from 65ish to about 70

Ahh. I can just sit back & relax in the TD. Its torque heaven. Last night I whooped an XR2i up a long uphill stretch of dual carriageway. Just think of the economy of my new beast too.

I got 190 miles from ?15 of diesel-juice over the weekend. Not driving it lightly at the mo either...

I would have loved for this car to be a TD as where I work is shutting down and relocating to 50 miles away, so will cost a fortune in fuel. TD is the way to go I think!

My Nova is very economical at the moment

On Alex's Polo, the accellerator is just an Engine Volume Switch... press it down and the engine goes vrrrRRRRRRR. Car doesn't go any faster mind you

lmao jack, it was a bit like that this morning, then the carb started icing and so the 70mph soon turned into 50mph, revved the nads off it and it seemed to help a bit. Think I'm gonna rig up some warm air feed type thing somehow.
