Now, i tried to sell it, tried to break it and so on, but work committments (RAF, A new car (DC5) and generally me not being ****d, it sat in my garage since october last year! So, the other day when i went to grab somethig from out the garage me and my mate stood and had a good chat whilst looking at the car and both almost simultaneously decided - REBUILD TIME

Plans were forged to transform it from Chav poster Art to a fully blown track weapon!

We decided, lose the skirts, mirrors, tailgate and bumpers and paint!

Keep the Arches, fit widened GSi bupers, Manta 400 mirrors, STD tailgate (POSS F.Glass) and rear lights and a respray in white, Compo MOs and an LET

To name but a few changes!!!!

Ive spent the best part of my "lunch hours" (AKA All day) ripping the gay kit off the shell and its actually starting to resemble a nova again!! I start as i mean to go on!!!

    Heres how it is now!

As i stripped a GSi recently i thought i can use alot of the good bits off it to rebuild mine! One of these is the ENTIRE loom of the car, so i have started to remove that and should hopefully have that out, along with the dash tomorrow!

The engines also ready to drop out, once the lower arms/tie bars are removed. ive already got the loom out from the engine.

So, soon i will be cleaning up the bay, plating it all with a HH kit and maybe smoothing the inner wings! Dunno wether to remove the bulkhead yet??

Not a fan of kitted Novas but i actually liked that !!
Will be much better with std bumpers & an LET tho, if its gonna be a track beast then i wouldn't bother smoothing the inner wings, folk usually remove the bulk head bit to aid air flow for carbs / bodies, not really needed on an LET but it cant hurt to get a bit more air thru it !!
Should be a weapon when finished, any ideas on ETA ?

Loving your brembos matey... at least as a track weapon they will be put to good use.

I noticed the modification to the spoiler half way through... did you just chop the upright bits off.

Right well today i continued my quest to get it to a bare shell

Removed the headlining, dash, loom, servo + master cylinder, TCAs/Lower arms/Hubs/Driveshafts, and lots more

All thats in is the rear beam and struts and the engine and box to be removed tomorrow!!

    Then the grinding begins!!
Ill be removing all unused brackets, removing the wheel well, Turreting the rears, welding in seat rails and removing the centre brace, removing the bulkhead, removing the washer bottle mount and grinding back all the seams in the bay to check the welding and redo if necessary! ill also be fitting a HH plating kit!

More things planned include fully welded in triangulated cage, pedal box, Hyd Hbrake, internal fuel and brake lines etc etc!!

The joy continues!! ill get some pics up of work so farl tomorrow!!

Stay in touch rent boy, there will probably be stuff we both need where ordering in bulk may save a few pennies.

The car will be a beast, but you'll still be slightly poofy!
