    Default 2ltr 8v

    can anybody tell me how big of a job it is to fit a 2ltr 8v in to a 1.2 nova? and what will i need? i would appreiciate any advice.

    I think the preparation is pretty much the same as if you were going to transplant an XE, this means seam + plate welding the engine bay, using the correct driveshafts and getting the correct poundage springs, amongst other things (there will be other things, I've never done an XE but there are others here who can help better than me!). Is the 1.2 carb fed or spi and is the 8v carb fed or fuel injection?
    I've got the feeling people are just going to tell you to do an XE for all the effort you're going to put in mate!

    Yeah it's just as much work as an XE conversion.

    dont let anyone tell you, 'just fit a 16v'

    ?300 for a 16v engine with 130,000 miles on the clock
    or
    ?150 for a 8v engine with 60,000 miles on the clock,

    i know what i would go for

    Plus 8v is easier fix/maintain.

    Get the SEH 130bhp version.
