    Default What is this for????

Was taking the wings off to waxoyl the insides and came across this which I must add wasn't plugged in. Does anyone know what it's for?
The car is a 1.0 1987 Nova saloon.

Its the dim/dip relay i think. When sidelights on with ignition off your little 501 capless bulbs light, start car and your head lights light up but only on half power (dim) then switch to headlight you get full power (dip). Damn sure thats what it is. You found it on the drivers side? Were the shelf is if not connected to the shelf.

It's not connected to the shelf, it was contained in the cavity where the 2 bolts to the wing are. I'm heading down to my local Vauxhall dealer to see what it is.

When it wasn't connected everything worked on the car, didn't connect it up to see what happens though.

I'll post up what it is later today.

    Cheers.

If there is a part number on it I can check on EPC to see if it brings up anything
