    Angry Plese Can Some 1 Help

    distributor problems

    I have a 1.6 sv engine from a cav in my nova on webber carb, but it has this really anoying problem, every so ofted the round plastic lug that locates into the cam, which in turn, turns your rotar arm turns on the other end of the distrutor, keeps sheering off. i have tried a diffrent distributor, cam and cam housing, The plastic bit only cost ?7 a go but its happend 4 time in the last 4 months and have had the engine apart twice trying to stop the problem, does any one have any idears, sorry about the bad spelling you can tell what i did when i was at school jack s**t cheers peps djbrowney

    Dizzy is going in square, ie sitting flush against the housing. Have you look inside the cap? I mean if you were to turn the dizzy by hand with cap on and dizzy in hand is it free or is there some resistance?

    yer its sitting flust, there is a little resistence, but the should be if not the rotar arm mouldnt touch the points on the cap, what ya think

    is the cam to dizzy drive slotted or peg type?
