    Default the mk2 flameon

hi all, i thought this was long overdue so now i have some spare time i can get on with it.

i bought the car 6 months ago and have been slowly doing stuff to it since, however with recently the ball has really started rolling and no doubt i will need help from the nova gods out there soon.

it is a 1.4i luxe plus with leccy windows and central locking as standard, when i got the car it was completely standard. and withing a week it was lowerd and had a magnex exhaust system that constantly rattled

now on my first inspections it was a very clean car with little rust everywhere, to this day it has only given me one nast surprise that i will cover later, this was from the previous owner though

i then set about running it around while i looked for a job and keeping it polished to fight my constant battle with the sun.

i also added a laguna splitter to the standard bumper

i then sourced a unpainted GSI bumper to replace my pov one, and fitted a laguna splitter to that

i then fitted some custom rear springs to get the rear end down abit more, i did this by cutting the standard spring in half, then coiling then around each other and welded them back up so they were half the size, not the best option but it was cheap and worked.

i also fitted some fanblades in which came in white, and some gsi skirts in satin black

i then went on a rust hunt and re undersealed the bottom on the car and attacked any rust in kurust in time for the winter, i found a nast hole in the chassis led which i soon repaired.

when i was undersealing my car i came across this..... anyone know why this could happen ? maybe because its low or something?

i then stripped the engine down and inspected the head, it was quite badly pitted so i had to get it skimmed and they took ALOT off so i might have to run it on super unleaded because of the extra compression.... but we will cross that bridge when i come to it.

    pics of pitting:

    and all nicely skimmed

i then gave it a lick of paint

and is all ready to do the head gasket tomorrow !

also painted my wheels in amythest, i love the colour as they look kind of purple in the sunlight :

and that is how she sits now
