    Default ALLOYS

    Just got some 15" Astra alloys (the 6 spoke ones ) my car hasn't been lowered yet but one ov the rear arches are rubbing on the tyres...i know the Astra alloys are 46ET but why is only one tyre rubbing???
    Do i spend loadsa ??? and get low profiles or roll the arches???

    u should really having nothing bigger than 185/50 (or is it 185/55? i'm shit with tyre sizes!!)..and i would roll the arches...just to be safe and give that extra few mm of clearance.

    Its to do witht the axle or camber or summin, its the same on all novas, the drivers side rubs more than the passengers side !

    Novas are not 100% identical on each side when manufactured. Sometimes theres more clearance on one side compared to the other, it's just one of those things. Take your car down to your local bodyshop and ask them to roll the arches. Then when your tyres need replacing, get some 195/50's or even better 195/45's to give you loads of clearance and the capability to lower your Nova. YOu should be able to lower it 30mm all round easily without having to do any more arch mods. Good luck and welcome to the world of modified Novas (and bank loads):D
