I just posted this on Migweb because of the poor comments the show was getting so i'll post it on here as well.....

"I have just returned from USC and im a little shocked by this thread...

I went for the full 3 days and I have had a fantastic time!

Yes there was loads of ch@vs but there was also a great deal of sound people and some proper awesome pieces of machinary.

We camped down by the entrance and the guy next to us had a Zetec Turbo Westfield which ran 11.1 on saturday.

I can't see how people can say the standard of strip cars was poor.... heres a few of the cars which were running... (and the times that I saw them run)

Twin V6 Engined 306 (12.7 on first run)
    1.8 Vtec Mini on ITB's (13.2)
    Austins RWD Nova (14.1)
    Zetec Turbo Westfield (11.1)
Andy Nicholls Rover (10.8 as mentioned)
Mk1 and Mk2 Escorts with Cossie lumps
    2 x fiesta's with Cossie lumps
Plenty of Nova and Corsa XE's and LET's
Supra Twin Turbo Powered Lexus IS200
Twin XE Engined Mini (both engines on ITB's)
    Turbo'd Golf Mk3 (low 12's)
ITB Scirroco (trumpets out the bonnet 13.2)
    Turbo's Arial Atom (10's)
    2 Skylines in the 10's
    Envy Supra (low 11's)
Some lovely Civics with engine swops... New shape type R Turbo (12's)
EG shape Civic with 2.0 (13.4) virtually standard engine
EG shape Civic with Prelude 2.2 (standard) 14.4
Loads of Pugs on ITB's and Carbs... along with the citroen AX and Saxo boys putting in some low 14 and 13 sec passes.
1.6 16v ITB'd Nova beating an MCoupe which pleased the crowd
MK2 Astra (LET) on whit compo's (low 12's)
Mk3 pearl white Astra on white compo's (LET) (13.4)
    GAZ's Corsa (11.9)

The list goes on... will post pics up once i've loaded them on photo bucket.

Basically they were a few 10secs passes a few 11's and loads of 12's/13's!!! from street legal cars. Hence why I believed the standard was very high.

I can see why people wouldn't enjoy it with the amount of Burberry ****'s about, but if you try and avoid them by wading through the fibreglass .. ..there was good cars and good people to chat to.

I will defo be going next year.

    Neil

well paul i fell in love with your car as you drove past me to line up. i watched you do the 1/4 mile altho cant remember what time you did. then i spent 2 hours walking around trying to find your car!! any chance of some pics and spec please???
i drove my mates nova turbo up there and loved it. it was the blue one on speedlines sort of near the entrance. however he has fooked something when adjusting the boost and put in a poor 16 second 1/4 mile!

well i had a good weekend.
