    Default Totb V

Just got back from totb, had a god day out really shame i didnt get many runs in.

The surface was rather poor but managed a 12.6@111mph which put me in 6th place for the 1/4 mile out of 26 in my class, on the 1 mile straight i got 141mph which was about 500rpm from hitting the limiter in 6th gear, that also put me in 6th in my class. The handling i got into 4th place before being knocked down to 7th in the last hour. Not to bad considering ive spent practically nothing on the car.

The rest of the team did well, the purple corsa won the fwd class taking it away from Andy Nicholls, unlucky . One of the astras got a top speed of 166mph i think it was which put him second on the top speed run. Another astra came second on the handling course, so for the first year with a vauxhall team we didnt do that bad.

    Hi Phil,

It was a top day yesterday. Good to see a Vauxhall take the honers in the front wheel drive section. Was going to come over and say hi, sorry i didn't.

Had an excellent view point. We make ally scaffolding at work, so we took a 7ft tower on wheels and sat on that all day!!

    Well done to you all.

    Martin

Was a top day, and good weather too
Nice to see the GAZ'D team getting some well deserved attention, iirc his best was a 12.2, and he won the FWD 1/4 mile class - well done boys!

And Andy Nicholls' Rover popped a hose on his first 1/4 mile attempt
