how long is a piece of string? all depends on wheel offset and tyre sidewall, lower as much as you dare and if they catch, have a look where they catch and do something about it. if its the inner arches a swift few smacks with the adjusting hammer may sort it,or try a small spacer on your wheels , if you find the wheels / tyres are catching on the outer arches then you may be able to pull the arches away to make some more clearance. another option is to add some negative camber by spacing out the hub at the bottom using shims or washers, you could whack a couple of degrees negative with a couple of washers on the bottom two hub mounting holes. the outer clearance would increase at the top of the wheel, and you would get some more room. but watch the tyre wear!
