Gsi or SR soz! Is the sri faster or is it all to do wit the design

SRI is 1.4 and a GSI is 1.6

I raced my two mates who have gsi's the other night, i have a sri with a zorst and a k&n and one gsi had a powerboost valve and the other had a k&n and there was nowt in it we were all dead equal Theres were no faster than mine!
