    I have a little problem.
    it seems that every i break and change down when coming to a junction and the reves drop my eletrical system (head lights, heater, dash etc) lose power a seem to die down almost stalling, I HAVE A MK1 1.3. please a few pointers, TA

    sounds like you need a new battery and alternator. the aletrnator doesnt seem to be charging your battery and your battery doesnt seem to be holding its charge!

    change all teh HT stuff dizzy cap, rotor arm, plugs and leads

    Definately check battery and alternator.

    Fit a new battery (about?20) to start with and check all the main leads to the battery and alternator, and engine earth strap. If you still have problems it will be the alternator not charging, but the battery warning light should be coming on if this is the case.
