what gear box?

I'm after an astra van gear box 4 my 1300, what type is it I need to get? F13,14 or 16?

You want an F13 the F16 is for big block engines (1.8 up), never heard of an F14?

the box you want will be an f10 or f13 but you can not tell if it is a van one or not just by looking at it

I'll have to take it off the van. I want the van one cos they get the power to the wheels better.

f10 = 1.0 1.2 1.3
f13 = 1.6
f15 = corsa (these are even better)

The astra van diff has a very low final ratio diff which gives you better acceleration at the cost of top speed.

Yeah but how many 100 mph races do you have in a 1300.

What sort of difference do you think I am looking at? increase in acceleration, & difference in top end?
