Default Is it as fast as i think

what is the standard 0-60 time for a mkII 1.4sr ?

i was using one of those professional timer things and i got timed at modified nationals too, ive done about 10 - 15 runs now and the time always comes out around the 7.5 - 8.5 mark is this right ?

i recently brought the car about 3 months ago and from what i know it hasnt had any engine work carried out, the engine itself looks standard apart from a k&n filter, it also has a janspeed straight through exhaust system

i would say thats right as a mate of mine managed just under 7sec in a standard SRi with a decat and mongoose system.

My MK2 SR does it bout 6.2 in the dry, but it does only weight 820kg.

Quoted time for a 1.4 carb is around 10 seconds, but manufacturers figures can be a bit conservative sometimes. Although the 1.6 is quoted around 9 seconds.

haha, My 181bhp/185lb's/ft 1.6 Turbo managed around 6.3 average 0-60! Best time was 6 secs dead so I really can't see how a 6.2 from a Nova with less that 100bhp is possible??? My GTE was just over 9secs in standard trim.

Bet you wish you'd saved your money now, not putting the LET back in my car now, after a 1.4 SR lump.

    LOL @ this.
My old 1600 t40 did it in about 7.0s. So your saying a 1.4 sr is quicker.

B@llocks, ive got an in car video of an SRi doin 0-60 in 7sec's! and my SR literally only has two sparco's and a steering wheel, a 4-branch + ashley system, pierburg 2E3 + K&N (atm), some form of piper cam (ex-old owner fitted), GSi CR g/box and 820kg kerb weight!

Back seats and all useless interior trim fooked off on eBay!
