    I DRIVE A 1.4L NOVA AND WANT TO KNOW WHAT THE DIFFERENCE IS TO A 1.4SR. HOW MUCH WILL IT COST TO TURN MINE INTO A SR IF POSSIBLE

    I think it is 2 do with low and high compression. (the sr being high - there 4 quicker)

    quite afew things m8, carb, head, manifold, cam...There's no point in spending 'dead money' (money that you will not get back when you flog it) on a 1.4l, just leave your car standard til u can get summit quicker, such as a 1.4sr, sri or get a GTE or GSi. Best plan in the long run m8...

    Yeah agree with Ged don't spend the money doing it up. Sell it and buy an SR. Much better option.
