    looking good,
All I wanted was a Pepsi, just one Pepsi
    Far from suicidal
    Still I get them tendencies
    Bringing back them memories
That I really miss when I reminisce

Default K95vhd-wip- Oy, 56k, Noooo!!! New Pics 26/06/06

So Fearless got to work with his magic pliers and fairy screwdrivers and....

    Samco'd up and re-wiring ahoy....

Crappy SFI box removed and throttle body cleaned...

New SFI box (later type) cut and plastic welded to fit bulkhead panel better.....

Nica pic of car without grille fitted, you can see the Kenlowe fan and the custom-made stainless bracket for the oil-cooler that's not usually retained on the 16v conversion.....

I see you've wired it in with the big round plug!

I'd didn't use that as you don't need all the wires and use this plug a little further down the line instead. It sits inbetween the round plug and the engine loom.

This plug has all the wires in it you need to get the engine wired up. Helps to tidy things up!

    Simps.

I see your not looking at getting a power cap from courtney then? Personally i think the boxes look better to some extent but they do look a bit standard?

Power caps can gain a couple of BHP but lose bottom end torque so i'll stick with the SFI for now.... I fancy some Weber 45's (Did u hear me Fearless???!!!)

Anyway, back to the engine bay.... Dave cleaned out the breather hoses and replaced them, and fitted new jubilee clips wherever possible. The braiding was used wherever possible including the wiring to the horn (!!!)

You can see how the wiring is much neater, and the top rad tpiece has been spaced underneath to look "cleaner"

Brake fluid res and cap covers made in stainless steel

Piper-x air filter and samco connector. Note new breather hoses.....

Fearless motorsport front alloy strut brace fitted and later-style SFI box mentioned earlier....

Nice overall front picture..... Still got work to do like painting/cleaning brackets, some stainless bolts and washers, stainless heat shield......

Just compare these two sets of pictures though though..... When I got the car

    now

    When I got the car

    Now.....

How much cleaner/neater??? Note the wiring loom is mostly hidden now or tied back. Comments welcome, and suggestions of how to improve the engine bay further??????

    Novaco,

The question is how much would u pay for a brake res cover and cap.... These are one-offs I had made at great expense... I may be able to get more made.......

    Novastyla,

If you read the thread properly, you'll note that I haven't done the looming work, FEARLESS has done it for me while I went on holiday.... You can PM him but he's in Turkey for a week...
