    Default M.O.T PASS OR FAIL

    IM THINKING OF FITTING A FULL STAINLESS AND DOING AWAY WITH THE CAT, WILL IT PASS THE M.O.T, MY MATE HAS DONE THIS AND HIS WONT PASS.
    MINE IS A 1.4 SRI 1992 AND HIS IS A 1991 IS THERE ANY DIFFERANCE BECAUSE OF THE YEAR.

    Yeah Failure.
    Any motor that comes with Cat as standard has to have one for M.O.T. Someone i Know has a Nissan with same problem for M.O.T and he just swaps back to cat for MOT.
    So Keep ur old exhaust and swap for M.O.T.

    But ask a agarage to check emissions for you and that will tell you why you need cat.

    No it is not a failure it is only cars made after 1/8/92 that need a cat on it to pass its mot! Rick

    thats true , what rick said i just had mine done at the start of the month and it passed, as long as the emmisions are ok

    mine was made on the 18/03/92 so it should be ok then, cheers lad's.
