    Default carb and inlet

i know the ports are a different shape but is there any possibility that you can dremel multi the ports on a 1.4sr inlet so it would fit a 1.2 head? as i have a 1.4sr inlet n carb i wanna put on my 1.2 cuz cant find 1.3 inlet anywhere. thanx

    A lot of hard work!!!!!

You may be able to do it but if you make one mistake your pretty much buggered - just go to your local scrappy and get a 1.3 sr manifold - i picked one up for ?25. I originally had the 1.4sr one also.

Just get one of them and dremal the inside of the ports to remove all the years of cack. Smoother gas flow - apparently

    Cheers

it would take ages with a die grinder and carbide cutters. plus youd never get it ideal. so for the effort involved you might aswell get a 1.3 manifold....

smooth dosent always mean better airflow

    actually no its not

ive compared gaskets and the 1300 port ends up outside the manifold boundaries on at least 2 of the ports

all the ports are out iirc
the 1400 ports go in to the side of the valve and the 12/1300 go in stright inline with the valve
it really is a no chance job
buy the 1300 one from a scrappy ,theve only cost me ?5 in the past

1.3 sr and 1.4sr carbs are the same, Pierburg 2e3 carbs....

With a small exception of the EARLY 1.3's which i think ran 1eB Pierburg carbs.....

Anyway, yes, you can keep the same carb!

Quick question - I have a 1.4sr 2e3 and a weber 32/34 dtml sitting about - which would be best? I think i already know the answer but wana make sure!

    Cheers
