    the 16SV has the same compression ratio to the 16SE the difference is that the SE is Injection and the SV is carb'd, i aint sure wot my lump is out of but its a good clean engine, and with the 1.4 cylinder head and piper cams it goes like stink

    cams is a plural hence 2 or more,

    an 8V only has one cam, so you have a piper cam.

    'cams' is plural, so means you have more than 1, e.g 2
    'cam' just means 1

    Thats why he thought it was the DOHC 16v engine :wink:

    I didnt know you had to be so correct wen sayin..... :|

    so ok yes it is a piper cam 270, considerin as on the box says 'piper cams' wen it had 1 camshaft in it
