Default Rolling Road results for 14th July

130bhp @ 6000rpm at the fly, thought that isn't the exact figure.

The rollers won't do graphs cause somethings broken on it.
He didn't say, but i think they just note down the LED readout on the unit.

Happy with that though. Just under 80bhp per litre and a bit up from my 1.3, per litre wise.

I'm more interested in how it performs on track/pod as that is where the true performance can be gauged.

The tuner suggested getting a vernier pulley to get a bit more before it comes on cam but seeing Dan and a couple opther similar spec engines have theirs set to standard, and that they cost ?75-80 new, i decided before i wasn't going to get one. Maybe if one comes up on ebay...

Its funny that the peak power is at 6k rpm when with the exact same spec on my 1.3(except different head (same work), 300cc extra capacity and a 4-1 Janspeed Manifold) the 1.3 peaked at 6.5k rpm.

I thought the Janspeed manifold would push a touch more power at top end. Think i'll go back to the 4-2-1 sr manifold. Just needs a bit more welding.

increase the displacement and generally the peak power RPM drops, but you hold more torue for longer...

rough rule of thumb thats gonna get blasted .

i had a std cam pulley machined with a kidney slot for ?15 might be worth it in that case?

Is this the 1.6 i think i remember u building? If it is thats a good figure and i like where the torque kicks in.

Just done a 210 mile trip and she returned 37.2 mpg.

    Not bad. 50% Motorway, 50% A + B roads.

Just remembered the chokes in the carb's might be altering my peak power. It was on 30's with the 1.3 but now its on 32's. Maybe 33's would be worth a try.

Mate, that sounds class. Thats the kinda power i want outta my 14, enough to scare a few locals round here!!
I spent 90% of my money on Drink and Women, the rest I just wasted.

sounds good for 130bhp, however i was expecting it to be a little higher ?

    130bhp, that's with the 40's, B+ head and a cam is it ?

yup. It may be more on another rollers, e.g. if i tok it to where Jim had his r/r... you never know it might be the same or it might be up with the fairy's.

Santapod should show the real performance, as soon as i lay down some rubber there i'll have a better idea of how comparible the engine/car is.
