    Default Speakers in the doors

I'm looking at getting these 17cm speakers. Would there be space to fit them in my door trim? How easy would this be?
If not easily done, where else could those, or a similar sized, speakers be placed?

    Thanks for any input :D

Edit: It's a MK2 if it makes a difference. Currently has window winders but planning of getting electric windows...

Cheers Cassie-Nova :D I saw that thread but didn't know what size speakers they were. :?

Somebody mentioned today that they didn't think the depth of the door was deep enough to house a 17cm speaker. epo did you find that a problem at all?

Off to the scrappes this weekend probably to look for electric windows so hopefully they should not pose any problem :D

So the speakers won't fit in without spacers? Hmm okay.

On a similar topic.... Where else can that size speaker be placed? Only places I can think of are the front doors and parcel shelf.

Cheers for the help guys :D

I think the ones i have are 5"s. Didn't need any spacers, depends on deep the magnet is i suppose, pop your door panel off and have a look! :: Could also mount a set in your rear quarters. Maybe make an MDF rear quarter panel and mount some 6x9s? Still considering on whether or not to do that!
