    Default flushed tailgate

I've been told that the best way to flush my tailgate is to put a stainless steel panel right across the tailgate . Is this right and if so is it stuck on with fibreglass or is it spotwelded on with holes drilled in the stainless sheet??. Any other ideas are appreciated

ello mac, this weekend i attempted to weld a panel right across the boot, youre gonna have to be *very* careful, cos where the boot curves up and across the metal is very hard to get to stay flat and you may end up with a bulge. In which case slot the metal and re-weld then grind and fill the slot... Dont take my word for it, as i havent actually done it yet, but thats how mines being done. Also we are welding it on, it may be better to drill from indise the tailgate where possible as this should leave less filling, but there are areas at the edge which you cant get to so you might have to drill from outside.
