    Default fitting a kent cam kit

    i am thinkin bout buyin a kent cam kit and fittin it my self. how hard will it b 2 do? or is it a bad idea 2 do dis?

    Theres 2 ways to do it:
    1. Buy /borrow the special tools(sykes pickavant clamps - ?150) to allow the cam to be changed without taking the head off ( unlikely)
    2. Take the head off.

    Either way it involves taking the timing belt off etc and then re- timing it all up again. The procedure is detailed in the Haynes manual.

    If you fit the cam on its own with no other mods you will not be getting anything like the power the manufacturers quote - more likely about a quarter of it.
