    Default Sub advice!

    i currently have

Kenwood KDC-5090R 4x47watt CD Head Unit
    Kenwood KAC-729S 600watt 4-channel (150watt each) Amplifier

    im soon to be buying

    Pioneer TSA-6910 330watt 3-way 6x9s

but i want 2 12' Pioneer or Kenwwod Subs as well

but im unsure which ones to get, on my list are

    Pioneer TSW-303 500watt 12" Sub ?60 each
    Pioneer VCCS 600watt 12" Sub ?80 each
    Kenwood KFC-W3005 700watt 12" Sub ?unsure
    Pioneer TSW-305c 800watt 12" Sub ?unsure

which ones would be best compatable with the Amp?

    Cheerz!

If it's a Kenwood amp then I'd go for the Kenwood sub(s) as I'd expect them to be more matched to the amp than any other brand.

    Default sub

if your looking for a sub try and match the rms wattage of both, etc if ur amps puttin out 250watts rms then get a sub as close to that as poss, max powers output ant rms output are two different things

Errr, better to get the sub with a higher rating that the amp or you're making it easier for yourself to blow it up, it doesn't matter if the sub can handle 100,000,000W RMS if the amp only put's out 200W RMS then that's what you're gonna get (200W).
But if you get the same (or close to) then you're running the risk of having the sub close it it's limits everytime you turn it up.

sorry jules i disagree. Subs can (usually) handle more than the RMS and you wanna make sure the sub is fed enough power to power it properly. IMO if any should be higher RMS its the amp channel powering the sub.

thats why ive picked these four subs!

    Pioneer TSW-303 500watt 12" Sub ?60 each
    Pioneer VCCS 600watt 12" Sub ?80 each
    Kenwood KFC-W3005 700watt 12" Sub ?unsure
    Pioneer TSW-305c 800watt 12" Sub ?unsure

i dont understand all that rms stuff, dont really know much about ICE, i plan to bridge the channels (2 channels per sub) and just run the 6x9s off the head unit!

is it possible to under power them?

RMS is complicated, its the Root Mean Square which is approximately 0.7 of its peak value. Don't need to know that though, all you need to know as Jules correctyly informed you and ZuG incorrectly informed you is that allow a bit of extra RMS in the sub but dont going paying stupid for something like 1800watt Peak.

Kenwoods are FAR FAR FAR FAR Better than the Pioneer.

Poineer dont drop they punch, kenwoods are really loud and really bassy.

    Much better all round sub.

Get yoursled a couple of Kenny subs.

Bridge amp as uv correctly sed.

Run 6x9s of the HU as u sed, the subs will have it 300watt peak for 2 channels powering a 700 watt peak sub will still sound gud. and theres no chance on the face of this earth u'll blow da sub up.

It MAY slightly be running it under powered, or not to the subs full potential, but if you cant afford to keep buying a new set of subs everytime u blow dem up coz of overpowering them, then the set up you've got seems sensible.

In a nova one kenny will get him humming, let alone two, fuck mine that will humm mate.
