Had a quick hour taking more bits out the engine bay.
Managed to get the brake servo off with only breaking 1 brake line , considering they are still the original lines I dont think that's too bad.
I threw the padding as not going to put it back on.

Also noticed the battery tray that the guy at the bodyshop apparently "fixed".....he hasn't, all he has done is cut the battery tray up i gave him to weld in and wedled a piece in and not even cut out the old rotten piece
So looks like I'm going to have to buy another new battery tray and do it myself ffs, all the welding and painting under the engine bay im doing myself. Got my new welder coming next week.

Next thing I need to take out the dash and strip the firewall inside ready for stitch welding so I dont set anything in fire

Looking closer at this battery "repair" he has done. He hasnt even welded the piece in that he cut off the new battery tray.......looks like he has just put it in place and sealed it in with sikaflex or similar then just sprayed it, I just can't.........like wtf? Lol

Suppose it makes it easier for me to remove the "repair" and do it properly

Just be warned, bodywork is a lot more delicate, spot welding in small bursts and letting it cool are essential.
Start on some of the out of sight stuff first.

I will mainly just be doing under the bonnet and in 1" bursts, but alternate sides to let it cool down to stop distortion.

I wont be touching outside bodywork for a long time until I'm confident enough.
The battery tray ill have to spot weld and alternate

Got my calipers and hubs built up while I had some spare time today.
Looking fresh with brand new discs and pads, so they are ready to go on the car.

Need to hurry up and get dash out the car so I can start stitch welding the bay.
Also need to track down a front panel and someone cutting up a shell cause I need a length of the chassis leg
