    Default 1.2 Thermostat location

    Hi guys,

Established that the thermostat on my 1.2 Nova needs replaced, gets hot when stationary but not when moving.

Had a look at the haynes, and from what i gather i might need to be removing the timing belt/pulley to get to it?

Is this correct? Cannot find any pics or info online? Not taken anything off in the bay yet but the location doesn't look apparent from above.

Really asking as if i need to remove the belt i would be as well getting a new belt and water pump to fit at the same time.

Any help/info would be great as always

    Thanks

No need to remove belt and pulleys on a carb 1.2. I changed the rear pulley cover on my injection one so no need to remove it all next thermostat change.

Cheers man, it needs a belt and pump anyway so one is on its way.
