Default Engine swap: Can anyone tell me if this is suitable

I'm starting to put some effort into replacing the engine in the Nova.
I have the offer of this whole car at a reasonable price, engine seems ok. Its a 53 plate Astra 1.6i. The car has MOT, is quite tidy and almost a shame to strip, but I'm not a massive fan of Astra's of this vintage so who cares
Is the engine a straight fit? Anything I should know? I wont be the one fitting it (helping maybe). Put bluntly I'm no mechanic, I'm just sourcing the bits.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi,
This should be a straight fit. I would not use the engine harness and the ecu, look for some c14se or c16se loom and ecu, it will be easier to adapt. You must not be a mechanic, just think logical, and you can do it.
What is the aim? This engine is for torque, not for hp.

The aim is more power than I currently have (1.2) and longer gears, more drivability.
I'm looking for an f13 close ratio box too.
