Default Gsi engine into gte loom problems

Hi there, swapped my old 1.6 gte engine over to my spare 1.6 gsi engine,
engine is turning over but have no spark or fuel, fuel pump is not priming,
So I’m thinking wiring not right the wiring plug from the gsi engine has more
wires through it, there’s a big black wire which I’m not sure what it is but looks
like it needs connecting up anyone have any suggestions
i have pictures but not sure how to upload off my phone
got mot on Monday so hopfully can get sorted

If you have only changed the engine i cant see it been any different . Have you put the gte wiring and ecu onto it .
You sure the thick black wire isnt the +12v for the ecu?

There are 2 different looms for the 1.6 gte/gsi. The e16se runs Siemens ecu and loom. The c16se ran bosch setup. It ain't compatible I found this out when I got the wrong set up.

Sorted now, the ignition live wasn’t connected it was in a different pin in the plug
ive cut & joined them together, engine runs sweet as a nut considering it’s sat in my shed for
10+ years. Think that’s why I was expecting the worse last night.
    thanks everyone
